Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Community Partners,

As President of the Manitoba Gerontological Nursing Association (MGNA), I am honoured to welcome you to our first-ever fundraising campaign—a major step forward for our small but dedicated association. MGNA is a community of gerontological nurses who are passionate about ensuring older adults across our province receive the highest standard of care. Our members work in long-term care homes, hospitals, community programs, rural and Northern health. Everywhere across the province, Manitobans rely on our skilled, compassionate care.
The pandemic years were difficult for our profession and for our association. Membership declined, educational opportunities shifted online, and many of our members experienced burnout and unprecedented challenges in their workplaces. Today, MGNA is rebuilding.
We are reconnecting, strengthening our network, and planning for a vibrant future.

Every donation—large or small—makes a meaningful difference. Donations are processed through our national organization, Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association (CGNA). This is a registered charity (BN 886166792 RR0001), making your gift tax‑deductible.

Thank you for considering a gift. Your support strengthens the care available to the nurses who care for Manitoba’s seniors, and helps us build a renewed, resilient, and thriving MGNA.

Together, we can ensure a strong future for MGNA and for the older adults who depend on us.

With gratitude,
Brian Sawatzky He|Him
