Perspectives is the national e-journal of the Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association (CGNA) whose mission is to address the health concerns of older Canadians and the nurses who participate with them in health care.  Perspectives features emerging research, literature reviews, practice improvement projects, as well as clinical, educational, and administrative innovations of interest to gerontological nursing from gerontological health care professionals and students.

World Health Organization: World Report on Ageing and Health (2015)


The world report on ageing and health calls for urgent comprehensive public health action on population ageing.  Requiring fundamental shifts in how we think about ageing itself,  the world report outlines a framework for action to foster healthy ageing by focusing on functional ability.  Investments into health and ageing of older people will have valuable social and economic returns for health and wellbeing and on-going participation in society.


Royal Society- Investing in Canada’s Nursing Workforce Post-Pandemic: A Call to Action (2022)

Established by the President of the Royal Society of Canada in April 2020, the RSC Task Force on COVID-19 was mandated to provide evidence-informed perspectives on major societal challenges in response to and recovery from COVID-19. The Task Force established a series of Working Groups to rapidly develop Policy Briefings, with the objective of supporting policymakers with evidence to inform their decisions.
